ATTENTION ONLINE CREDIT UNIONS
Your credit union may have recently received an announcement from Experian regarding changes to Precise ID. We would like to take this opportunity to clarify some details:
- Our latest understanding as of 8/16/21, as communicated to us by Experian, is that your credit union’s ability to use Precise ID will not be impacted.
- Our understanding is that only a small portion of the Precise ID tool is being removed – full access will still be available. This impacts the potential questions that can be asked of a potential member.
- We still recommend that your credit union contact your Experian representative to verify if they use those KIQ questions, in order to better understand the impact (if any) that this change will have on your credit union.
We will continue to communicate with Experian on this matter. If there are any additional changes moving forward, we will communicate these to your credit union.
