Don’t Forget – ItsMe247: Support for Members Using Older Browsers will be Ending

ATTENTION ONLINE CREDIT UNIONS

ItsMe247.com Security Upgrades are coming Tuesday, September 22nd at 3:00 AM PT

As part of ongoing maintenance of cybersecurity configurations in our network, we will be strengthening the browser encryption configurations required to access the ItsMe247.com and ItsMyBiz247.com family of sites.

As part of these upgrades, we will be ending support for older browser encryption configurations that are becoming weak.  This includes the TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 encryption protocols.

As part of our preparation for this work, on 3/17/20 we enabled warning banners on these sites that would detect when members connected using one of these two protocols. Since that time, less than 0.03% of our traffic has been observed using TLS 1.0 or TLS 1.1.

These older protocols are used by operating systems and browsers that are no longer supported by the manufacturer and are also not supported on ItsMe247.com.  Some examples include Internet Explorer 8, 9 and 10 on Windows XP and Windows 7.

What will members notice on 9/22?

The vast majority of members will not notice any changes.  Members using unsupported browsers and operating systems will experience trouble connecting to ItsMe247.com and will have to upgrade their software before being able to reconnect.

These are valuable upgrades that need to be completed from time to time in order to maintain ongoing cybersecurity hygiene of our online banking environments.  If you have any questions, please contact the CSR team at 866.922.7646 Option 2.
