ATTENTION ONLINE CREDIT UNIONS
Recently, the NCUA announced an update regarding technology modernization efforts (which can be reviewed here). Among these is the Data Exchange Application (DEXA), which provides credit unions with the ability to upload their AIRES share and loan data.
Earlier this year, the NCUA reached out to CU*Answers to begin reviewing the AIRES data that is created from CU*BASE, to ensure this data would be accepted by the DEXA application. CU*Answers was among a select few core processors that the NCUA opted to reach out to.
Both the Asterisk Intelligence and AuditLink teams worked diligently with the NCUA to accommodate a minor change to the data that is created from CU*BASE. This minor change saw a ‘tab’ removed from the end of the data table – this will ensure that both the AIRES share and AIRES loan files created using CU*BASE will be accepted by DEXA once your credit union begins using the new toolkit.
Please note: if your credit union is using the AIRES file with third parties other than the NCUA, you may need to adjust your file mapping processes with those third parties, given the changes that were made.
