POSITION SUMMARY


The Sales Representative is responsible for selling CU*Northwest products and services to new and existing credit unions.  This position works closely with clients to determine needs and coordinates with appropriate staff to meet those needs.  

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS


  1. Seek out, call upon and demonstrate products to targeted credit unions.  Work with credit unions to determine needs and goals, and develop customized proposals, which address these needs.  Follow up on sales efforts to close the sale.
  2. Develop and implement an aggressive new prospect program, to actively seek out and establish contact with new potential clients.
  3. Prepare pipeline and activity logs for management.
  4. Maintain follow-up activities with current clients to assist with problem-solving, as well as introduce additional CU*Asterisk products and services wherever appropriate.
  5. Maintain a thorough understanding of CU*Asterisk products and services, as well as how to relate the benefits of each product to an individual credit union’s need.
  6. Maintain a positive contribution as a member of the Sales, Service, and Delivery Team, and complete all tasks assigned by management to meet team objectives.
  7. Prepare reporting and discuss sales efforts for the board and/or shareholders as requested.
  8. Recommend software enhancements based on client requests or user experience to CUNW.
  9. Review CSR incidents for areas of weakness for clients and CSRs.  Suggest training as needed.
  10. Participate in sales demonstrations as needed.
  11. Assist clients with meeting their business plan goals by selling network resources when appropriate.
  12. Maintain a positive contribution as a member of the team and complete all tasks assigned to meet team objectives.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS


  1. High School graduate or equivalent is required. 
  2. Associates degree or equivalent work experience required.
  3. Knowledge of credit union operations, regulations and procedures, accounting and balancing functions preferred.
  4. Experience selling to C- suite executives.
  5. Strong active listening skills and capacity to ask probing questions.
  6. High integrity, positive attitude, maturity, and a willingness to learn, grow and be coached by experienced sales professionals.
  7. Ability to travel two weeks every month to client sites, prospect sites and events.
  8. Thoroughness, excellent attention to detail; ability to take initiative and work independently.
  9. Ability to use discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential data.
