CU*NorthWest has implemented new card randomization features for all ATM/debit/credit cards. With brute force BIN attacks on the rise, CU*NorthWest has committed to doing what we can to assist credit unions in making these attacks more difficult for hackers.
In addition to card number randomization, credit unions can choose to randomize expiration dates; cards created in a certain month will no longer all need to expire at the same time in the future. For those credit unions not prepared to randomize all card numbers, CU*NorthWest has developed an additional option to randomize the card increment.
